Halloween-themed sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Preparation
Start by placing the OREO cookies in a food processor. Pulse them until they are finely crushed. If you don’t have a food processor, you can place them in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin.
In a large bowl, combine the crushed OREO cookies and softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully combined. The mixture should be thick and able to hold its shape.
With your hands, take small portions of the OREO cream cheese mix and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Put the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to help the truffles firm up.
While the truffles are chilling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Add a few drops of black food coloring if desired.
Remove the truffles from the refrigerator and dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are completely coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
While the chocolate is still wet, place two candy eyes on top of each truffle.
Return the decorated truffles to the baking sheet and let them set at room temperature or in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.
Serve the Ghost OREO Truffles at parties, or enjoy them as a Halloween snack.
